Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Clostridium sympotms question
To: "FHL FHL" <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

What are the symptoms of this? One of our ferrets has had off stools for a few months. But not regularly. We had fecal tests done, blood tests, and ultrasound. He was exposed to coccidia and was placed on Albon. He stools are good most of the time, but bad every couple days. Some things have helped, we switched his food to turkey based kibble, he gets nutramin clay in his food (we removed the Nupro supplement just incase) and he occasionally gets Benebac or Slippery Elm powder in his soup when he has a flare up.
We have thought perhaps IBD and are going to bring his up with his vet. But would like to find out more about Clostridium as a precaution. Thank you.
Risa
