To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Karen,

Thank you. The video clip although a little dark definitely made the
method clear. I went online and found that there are two kinds of
lancets available for the Ultrasoft blood sampler - OneTouch Ultrasoft
lancets, and OneTouch Ultrafine. I wondered which you used?

In addition when I did a search for the devices online,I found at a
site called DiabetesandMore.com a display of a "OneTouch Ultrasoft and
Penlet Touch adjustable lancer". This white device is called a Penlet
on the Lifescan site. The OneTouchUltrasoft blood sampler I found
displayed on the Lifescan site is black and looks a little bigger. The
Penlet is available several places, but I could not find the one
called just OneTouchUltrasoft for sale anywhere

Guess I'll call Lifescan customer service Monday and see what they say
about the two devices and whether the one is being replaced by the
other. I'll report back on whether both are available in case someone
else needs the info. All I could find in the text was that the
OneTouchUltrasoft has a slightly narrower end than the Penlet which
allowed somewhat greater pressure to be applied.
