That is possible but we have seen these with other things, too, for
instance with a massive furball in the stomach of one who had a
deformed stomach. They were secondary, at least partially from
irritation. Another thing that can cause these is a problem with the
gallbladder or the bile duct. Meanwhile, hepatitis can inflame the
pancreas and pancreatitis can inflame the liver. They communicate
a lot... If the bile duct is involved and gets stretched (as sometimes
can happen with gallstones) then large dumps of bile to the intestines is
also possible and that can cause diarrhea. Ferrets don't often get
gallstones but at least one past FHL member ferret had one as i recall.
