Recently, I'd say within the past two or three months she has gained,
what I would consider, an extreme amount of weight and now tops the
scales at about 3 pounds..=A0 While she is still mobile and will come
out of her cage at playtime, she does not play or interact with my
other 5 ferrets as she used to.=A0 Instead, she will walk around for a
little while, maybe 10-20 minutes, long enough to check things outand
will then crawl into a bed and sleep again.=A0 She will go up=A0and down
stairs on her own, but slowly.=A0

You need to find out if this a gain due to fat or fluid (ascites). Is
she fairly firm or more like a partly filled balloon of water. If it
is fat then her lethargy is not so easily explained, even fat ferrets
will interact with others. If it is fluid then she needs a vet visit
ASAP as this is not good news and needs a diagnosis (heart, kidney or
liver functions may be compromised)
