To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi Alicia,

I'm assuming you mean Lupron? If so, do you know what dosage is being
given?

I have had ferrets blow their coats completely just after being
started on lupron only to follow with full new coats, I've also seen
this following adrenal surgery. So I would say, yes, it is possible
that they will regrow it. The possibility of malignancy does exist as
well though. Lupron will not be as effective if the tumors are malignant.

Right now it's shedding season for ferrets in many areas. Perhaps this
has something to do with it as well.

Personally, if the dosage being given is sufficient I would wait it
out a bit longer. You may be surprised with beautiful new coats any
time now. Word of warning, ferrets with new hair growth tend to look
bruised. If your boys start suddenly looking black and blue, don't be
alarmed. ;)
