Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: how long til a ferret can go to the bathroom after sedation???
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

thanks for the advice...i actually massaged her tummy for about 45
minutes or so and gave her some wet food, water from a bowl and
ferretone, and a little ferret lax on my finger and she WENT!!! i was
so happy i think i woke the neighbors! ha she seems to be fine,
however, she WILL NOT keep her bandage on...i am watching her and not
letting her be TOO active, considering she is our MOST climby active
one! :) thanks for the advice...i called all around, however, there
are no vets who specialize in ferrets around here or would see her
without immediate payment and that's just not something i can do in a
large lump sum...i have never heard of such a thing, but i guess it's
pretty common...i am in vet school now, and when i finish, i will NOT
be so heartless, because i am in the business to save and help them,
NOT to only make money...that's just a perk! thank you again for your
response!
