Alicia,

I am so sorry to hear that Lucas is very sick.

I have read the subsequent posts in response to your original one.

Hydrogen Peroxide (pharmaceutical grade) will bubble in the presence
of bacteria in a wound. Identifying blood in the stool as already
suggested requires a fecal lab examination.

From your description of his clinical symptoms, irrespective of
whether he has lymphoma (let's hope not) it does sound like he may
also have an ulcer.

The classical symptoms of that are the teeth grinding, vomiting, and
black stool. I have also seen the grinding the face into the floor
when Tiramisu had a serious bleeding ulcer.

I would suggest continuing to give him sulcrafate a half hour before
every feeding. And feeding him chicken baby food and something like
A/D, which is easily digested, high cal and will make him feel better.

Sub-q hydration is something else to consider to help with renal function.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Tressie
