We have two males born to a McKay rescue breeder May 2 of last year. We adopted the mother and two boys. The one boy had his testicles in place at almost five months of age. The other finally had his drop at almost seven months of age. Both were neutered just before their nine month birthdays. Wanted to wait until they were closer to a year old but they were too aggressive to the other older ferrets at our "old age ferret shelter and forever home". Guess to answer your question, normal all depends on the ferret and mother nature. BTW, Mumbles and Wolfy tip the scales at nearly 4 pounds each. Mittens, the mother is a mere 1.7 lbs.
