Have ferrets here who hiccups once and awhile. Not a big deal but if it is a concern, talk to your Vet. And they also pass gas on occasion, usually just before they have a bowel movement.
You should hear them in the middle of the night when the house is quiet. Some eating and you hear the crunch of the food they eat. Water bottles being drunk from, and the chattering they do in their sleep. And yes, the rustling of the pellets in the litter boxes. They eat, sleep and poop all night long. And snore too. Just wish they all were as faithful about using the litter boxes during the day as they are when caged for the night.
