Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret maybe insulinoma(not spelled right)
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I believe my Old Timer may have this condition
I have no way to get him to vet as my truck just went down and I do
not know yet how much to get it fixed so I can take him to vets
I need to know how I can keep him stable until I can get him in to his vet
My heart is in my throat right now as he is about 6 to 8 yrs old
\I rescued him from the spca
I could not let him stay in that filthy place in the filthy cage and
towels they had in his cage
I will be going for surgery in dec and will be down for a about 3 to
six mo depending on how bad my shoulder is and what needs to be done
Any advice will most definitely be appreciated
[Mod:
Insulinoma is CORRECT spelling, so you got that right.
Think of it as an
oma
which happens to increase the output of
insulin
(often sporadically at first)
so
insulin oma
or put together
insulinoma
Many disease names tell things about the diseases themselves.]
