No Gus isnt on any Pred.=A0 I did ask the vet about that, and he wanted to =
give the ZD a try first.=A0 The thing is, he'd been at a shelter for a coup=
le of months and he was having normal stools there.=A0 He was on Totally Fe=
rret, Evo, and 8in1 Ultimate... I kept him on the same when he came to me.=
=A0 Then shortly after he got here, he found a stash of old cheweasels (any=
where from 1 mth to possibly a year old)... he would find one and eat the e=
ntire thing.=A0 Then he started getting diarrhea after that, so I removed a=
ll cheweasels, N Bones, Foamy fries from his diet.=A0 Stools improved, but =
were always soft and not formed.=A0 And he would go about 3 or 4 times as m=
uch as my other ferrets.=A0 Constantly eating and constantly going.
=A0
Yesterday the Immodium wasnt helping at all, so I took off the ZD and put h=
im back on the 8in1.=A0 Stools much improved as its no longer diarrhea, but=
gone back to the same old soft and unformed.=A0
=A0
When I was first adding in the ZD, I did it slowly and expected problems at=
the beginning (which he did have), but then they went to soft and unformed=
... but after I finally got him onto only ZD, a few days into it - diarrhea=
- real bad.=A0 So, needless to say, I am totally baffled by all this!=A0 :=

Hopefully, the worsening is temporary and just from diet change.

Intestinal solutions can be so hard to find because it can take weeks for t=
he inflammation to
go down.

I can't recall, is your ferret on steroids to help with that? Years ago we =
had one who was
helped some by Prednisolone but more by a chemo approach -- very hard hitti=
ng for
inflammation reduction but trickier to manage safely.
