Hi Joan,=A0 We have well water.=A0 I have always been giving them filtered =
water, but we just recently got a whole-house water filter installed.=A0 Th=
e plumber said we had iron in the water...=A0=A0now that you mention=A0well=
water=A0gives yours soft stools, I think I will try a=A0trial of bottled w=
ater and see if that helps.=A0
=A0
My other ferrets seem fine, although they do get the bird-seed poops alot.=
=A0 My newest addition (been here about a month) has (ok only a ferret owne=
r would say this!) beautiful poops... now if anything changes with him, the=
n something would have to be up.=A0 =A0They've been stool tested and nothin=
g found, but both vets I've seen with Gus dont think that having a stool cu=
lture done with be worth it in trying to find answers.=A0
=A0
I also have dogs, but they are also tested and on interceptor year round, a=
nd never seen any=A0issues with them or their stools.=A0
=A0
I had forgotten about Barium, I will ask the vets about that.=A0 Oh and don=
t worry I didnt take any offense to your post, I'm trying to think of thing=
s outside the box, so the water supply and other pets thoughts=A0are much a=
ppreciated!=A0
Thanks!
Andrea
