Hi Heather,=A0 I recently had my female diagnosed w/ adrenal.=A0 This is wh=
at my trusted vet advised:=A0 do an ultrasound first.=A0 He works at a coll=
ege and has access to a=A0very sophisticated machine.=A0 He advised if noth=
ing shows up, to wait and retest (I forget how long he said in between test=
ing).=A0 When an enlarged gland does appear... if it is the left - treat w/=
lupron for as long as possible, then do surgery when needed.=A0 If it is t=
he right, do surgery asap (**providing** she is deemed a good surgical cand=
idate).=A0 He said the reason for this is, if its the left although the gla=
nd will enlarge, it will not come into contact with any risky organ, so=A0y=
ou can wait with surgery, but if its the right, and it will continue to enl=
arge, the larger it gets the more riskier the surgery since it attaches and=
could wrap around the vena cava.=A0 So the sooner you do the surgery for t=
he right, the less complicated it will be.=A0 Turns out he was right, we di=
d the
ultrasound, found the right slightly enlarged, they did the surgery w/ no =
complications.=A0 Diti's tail fur came back beautiful and she's been doing =
well since.=A0 Everyone's experience will differ, but I just wanted to shar=
e these thoughts if they might help.
