In my experience surgery alone has not solved the problem, even when
both glands have been removed. I really don't understand how it could
when surgery does not stop hormone production from the pituitary,
which is where the problem stems from. Lupron does address this though
and I would strongly recommend using it, either alone or in addition
to other treatments. I, personally, don't have the surgeries done
anymore. I've seen much better results with lupron alone. Yes, it is
expensive and that can be a hindrance, but it can also be quite effective.
