First of all, your vet is the only person who can tell you what a
procedure will cost. Even that will only be a ballpark price. Since
you have one or more ferrets, and possibly other pets, I would assume
that you have a good ferret vet. Ask the source. If you don't have a
vet, get vet referrals from other ferret owners in your area. Cost
should never be the deciding factor unless two vets are equally
experienced with ferrets.

No one outside of that can even give you a guesstimate. Even within
a city, costs vary, just as they do for all animal procedures. My
vet doesn't just go in and remove the diseased adrenal, and even the
final cost on that can vary greatly based on the time and complexity
of the surgery. He also checks other organs and may remove
suspicious growths/masses or take biopsies when warranted. There's a
good chance you will have charges for these additional procedures,
and outside lab fees as well. After all, it would be silly to tell
your vet just to remove the adrenal and nothing else. Based on how
complex the overall surgery turns out, there may be overnight ICU
costs, additional meds, etc. There is no way to know fully what is
involved until your surgeon is in there. You need to hope for the
best but be prepared for the worst. If you are a good client, most
vets will work with you on a payment plan, I would assume.

Then, there may be different costs based on your history with that
vet. Are you a regular client? Do you have multiple animals? Do
you pay your bills on time? My vet gives me quite a few breaks
because I have a ferret rescue, I always pay immediately, and I have
other animals who are patients there. I also refer many new clients
to him. Some things that he might not charge, or reduce the price
for, a rescue or shelter for, he will charge John Q. Public.

So, again, the best advice you can be given is to talk to your vet
and get the information you need.
