Subject: [ferrethealth] Preds Belly
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Okay, I have a ferret named Chaco. He has Pemphegus, it is an auto-
immuned disease that causes horrible painful rashes on the skin.

Chaco has been on Preds 1cc/Benadryl 1cc/Cefa-drops .25cc all twice a
day for years. Thanks to doctor x we where able to come up with
the diagnosis and find this regamin to work for him before it took
his life.

He is 2 1/2 and a few months ago he started to RAPIDLY grow a preds
belly. I had to take him off the preds gradually because it kept
growing and I started treating him with homeopathic gell on his skin
and Viola! all his remaining sores disappeared. So we have the
Remedy and the Benadryl and Cefa-drops working wonderfully.

Now, here is the brain teaser. Usually ferrets that are taking preds
HAVE to continue taking them, right...

Okay, so my question is, does anyone know if the preds belly
disappears gradually after the pred are no longer given?

Or

Would it require some assistance with Salix or an external diarretic?

I know now that we are not a group of vets but I wanted to know if
anyone has something close to the same experience.
