Subject: [ferrethealth] please answer if you can!!!!

My Ferret Has Puss Coming From His Eye...and when he wakes up, it is
crusted shut lots of times...it Comes And Goes Every Few Months...what
Could It Be??? it's not contagious, because none of our other ferrets
get it...any thoughts??? i used the teabag approach, for those of you
who have heard of that...and the warm cottonball...it obviously hurts
him when it's touched ever so gently to remove the puss so he can
see...:( when it happened in the past, we did the previous mentioned
things and it went away, but this has been a good week like this
now...we also did the warm towel with salt mixture around the mouth
and nose (NOT THE EYES) in case he had the flu, so he would be able to
breathe, if he couldn't...don't think that's the problem, but trying
everything we can to get him better, as the vet couldn't see him until
tomorrow afternoon.
ANYWAY, if anyone has any suggestions or comments, i would really
appreciate it! thank you!
