Subject: [ferrethealth] Felicity's lump
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I took some pictures of the lump after finding that when her fur was
wetted it actually looks more like a pocket of air on the surface - or
fluid. I'm thinking fluid filled since it felt like it has a spongy feel.
I have posted three views in the photos section. It's listed as
Meryl's ferrets and there are 3 jpegs. Now it looks like a surface
skin lesion - but feels like it has fluid or air in it - I feel a
little less paranoid. However it definitely does not look or feel like
a mast cell tumor. It looks as though it would pop if you poked it
with a needle - but I'm restraining myself and leaving it to the vet
visit and see what she thinks. I don't think I've seen anything quite
like this before - and I've had ferrets for almost 30 years.
