One of ours that passed a couple of months ago had this problems for a
couple of years. By watching the timing and talking with the vet we
finally determined it was a seasonal allergy issue. The first time the
vet gave us drops to use but after that we would simple use warm water
and a cotton swab to moisten the crust that has the eye held shut and to
clean off the puss type crud that is in the eye. This was all we did
each spring and fall, cking him on a regular basis to keep it clean.
