I am sure you will get quite few replies, but here is my thoughts just incase. I think your ferret needs to go back in immediately to the vet (a vet tech appt should do for this) and get a blood glucose test. Normally the ferret is fasted for 3 hours before the test, but no more than that is necessary for a ferret. Your ferret could be insulinomic and a simple blood glucose test should reveal that. Symptoms are generally having hind-end weakness, being unstable on feet, and low energy. I have heard of the watery eyes too.
A prescription of prednisolone given twice a day would control your ferrets BG (if it is insulinoma) along with helpful high protein supplemental "duck soup" mixture. Also, the pred (if you go that route) should always be given with food as it is very hard on the ferrets stomach.
Good luck!
Risa
