To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Your new boy is in rut. The smell comes from the oils he's producing
coupled with urine (males in rut "mark" with urine). The nipping,
excitability and vocalizing are also related. Males in rut have high
testosterone levels, which causes them to be aggressive. To solve the
problems have him altered. Keep him isolated from your others in the
meantime as males in rut do pose a threat to others.
