Diet change may help a bit. Ours are Marshall ferrets who came on Marshall diet which has
a large herring meal component. They had a very different smell after a week or two off
that food. I'll give them fish oil supplement and they still never smell as bad as the
radiating rancid fish odor they had when we first got them.
