Yes, they are both responding nicely. The Clavomox must be doing a
decent job and the Robitussin gave them immediate noticeable relief
from coughing.
I really hated isolating them ( such that it was - the cage is still
in the living room with the other furkids able to see, touch and
pester them) but, so far the problem seems confined to these two. As I
mentioned Fizzle started hacking a bit so I started dosing her too -
since I have enough to do it, she'll get the run too. Clavomox has
zero shelf life, so at ten days, that's it - it gets trashed!
LAst night Bugsy and Crystal stayed out of the cage and were back to
being their normal bouncy trouncy pouncy fun fun fun! Bugsy needs to
pick some weight back up, but I have no doubt that will hapen rather
quickly.
Everyone got mouse morsels last night again and were VERY happy to be
served such treats! This moring's breakfast was Cornish Game hen and
Crystal and Bugsy each got a leg!

I haven't located much in the way of time lines for ferret pneumonia.
IOW: From onset of first problems ( coughing, etc) to actual issues
with the lungs. Like say if the ferrets were Rx'd meds at such and
such date, by day so and so showing no response- is another round of
meds something to try? Or would it just be safe to treat them for
pneumonia?
I am considering myself lucky that they ARE responding to the first
round of meds- but wonder too, if this has somehow left them
susceptible to more attacks?

I did a simple online search for "Ferret Pneumonia" and one of the
sites listed Hyperadrenocorticism" as a contributing factor for
pneumonia. I'll see if I cna find it again.
