Please, note that there are disagreements on foods,
especially for animals who are already ill.
Except when certain illnesses exist high protein from
animal sources is desired, but there are many ways to
get those: excellent quality kibbles, cooked diets, and
raw whole animals (just meat is not a balanced diet).
Some vets emphasize that when an animal is already sick
it is best to have cooked food sources because their
resistance to illness will be reduced, even if that
precaution is only temporary.
So, just know that every food choice has its downsides
as well as its upsides, and sometimes choices must be
suited to the individual.
