Subject: [ferrethealth] Liver disease??
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have a 5 year-old rescue Ash, who came in August. He and his
companion Sampson were very ill, dehydrated, violent diarreah. Sampson
is finally stable after being treated for several bouts of UTI,
uroliths, ulcers and subsequent insulinoma. Ash however, is not doing
well.

He no longer has diarreah and his appetite is good. However, he is
slowly losing weight and is becoming more lethargic. He had a blood
panel done earlier this week and results indicate liver disease of some
sort. He is going in for an ultrasound and aspirate biopsy of the liver
on Monday. My vet fears neoplasia. I am hoping it is something less
sinister.

Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Here are his histology results with abnormal values (Canadian/European)
indicated =96 rest of the values were normal:

ELEVATED Bilirubin (Total) 10.2 umol/L=96 normal range 0 =96 5.0
