It is a skin tumor. It does not go into the body.
The reason why I won't do blood work is I won't have him sedated.
This ferret fights like you wouldn't believe when trying to draw
blood, even wrapped in a towel. That is when he bit a tech. Too
stressful for him. The sedation I did not like. I said I would
never put him through that again.
I will speak to my vet about it.
The treatment for the kidneys is a lower protein food (TF for older
ferrets), one drop of iron supplement daily. He does not need fluids
at this point. He is not dehydrated.
