It seems like rather than be hobbled by fears and worries it would
pay to discuss them fully with the treating vet before making choices.
Yes, I realize that some things seem scary, and some people often
talk up things that should not cause worry as if they should, so
that can make it all the harder if those people have caused a fright.
There is nothing to replace learning from those who know the topic
really well, though, especially veterinary professionals. Then you'd
know which of your concerns are most valid and how to deal with
them.

There are many things that skin growth could be, and some of
them (not only ones that are potentially malignant) could be
nasty without correct diagnosis and treatment.

Kidney disease, too, needs careful follow-up, testing, and care.

If this ferret did not have an allergic reaction to the rabies shot
there is not a reason to not give it. (Remember, that being just
a bit draggy afterward is not an allergic reaction, but instead is
the body's immune system responding as it should.)
