It would not hurt to have them checked for
illnesses that can be gotten from raw poultry.
Most of those aren't caught usually by ferrets,
but that does not mean that they are immune.
When their resistance is down, or faced with
a lot of the bacterium or with a stronger than
usual strain they can get everything from
avian mycobacteria (which can cause wasting)
to E. coli and more.

Meanwhile, I suspect that you were careful
enough to not try syringe feeding without
hands on training by your vet or a vet tech,
but in case you did get desperate and then
tried and simply continued it is not too late
to discuss that with your vet and learn hands-
on how to avoid the risk of accidently causing
aspiration pneumonia.
