Sorry this is so late I haven't been getting my Email from the
group. Some NSAIDS don't have as good of effects as an anticoagulant
as others and metacam is one. It has less effect on the platlets so
we often use it for pre and post op pain so this wouldn't be a good
choice.

However there is some interesting research that has us using Plavix
in cats with Saddle Thrombus that shows some promise.
