Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a while, so here goes. Last night, I had the scariest ferret emergency at
midnight. My ferret Champ, who was 4 years old, pooped blood into the litter box instead of
poop. It kept coming out and wouldn't stop. i must have given him 3 baths before taking
him to the nearest exotic hospital a 1/2 hour away. Anyway, they took him overnight and
called me a few times with updates that they gave him cpr because he had cardiac arrest.
Finally at 6am this morning, he passed away from the final round of cpr, they thought he
went into a coma. So I'm wondering how this could have happened. He had adrenal disease
and a UTI which I was treating with .66 cc of Bactrim twice daily. They took an xray of him
and it showed some kind of mass up near his lungs the size of a thumbprint. I'm getting a
necropsy done to see what could have happened. I am waiting for the phone call. Does
anyone here have an idea? Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
