Hi Dee,

Yes a ferret can certainly have a fever.

I'm a little confused by your post. You refer to the old vet and you
seem to know he should be seen by a vet. But then you say his leg was
drained last night. Who drained his leg last night, if not a vet??

He should be seen by a ferret knowledgeable vet if at all possible.
This bump could be anything from an abscess to lymphoma or another
neoplasm.

You can post your photo to the photos section located in the left
margin.

Tressie

Dee was paraphrasing what someone else has told her about a ferret
in an effort to help that person and the person's ferret.]
