Subject: [ferrethealth] update on nasty skin tumor (Nexus)

Hi,
Nexus had his surgery today. My vet removed the really nasty tumor
and another one on his back. The one on his back wasn't protruding
that much but it ran very deep. We sent out for pathology. He used
Sevoflurane for anesthesia.
His kidney values were actually better. The CREA went from 1.4 in
April to 0.9, so he is at the high end of the spectrum for normal.
Perhaps the fish oil I have been lacing his meds with helped? BUN was
29. Glucose was low at 57. He is on Azium for that. I have to bring
him back in a week for a recheck and stitches come out in two weeks.
Thanks to all who responded and encouraged me to go for the surgery.
