I think the vet is right. There could be a break that is incomplete and a jagged bit causing
bleeding, or some other possibilities, perhaps a tumor within the bone or muscle. An x-ray
might give a chance of spotting several possibilities. Histology on the fluid removed by a
ferret-knowledgeable pathologist might also be useful.
