Leizl, a middle aged(undetermined)albino sprite, had been dropping
weight, and extremely lethargic, but presented no wobbly or incoherent
symptoms outright of insulinoma, despite a blood glucose of 51, 4
weeks prior to this circumstance. At that time Dr and I discussed the
intro of pediapred, and I would keep an eye on her.

I took her in to emergency with dehydration, soft runny poops- not
quite diahrea, and the above plus inapetite.
Upon abdominal palpation some lumps and were felt in the right mid to
acudal area of about 2 inches in structure. She was at that time
admitted for IV , chem, and x-ray.
Chem showed blood glucose of 54- all other values in normal range.
X-rays showed inconclusive on the mass(es) and it was agreed that she
would be maintained with fluids and force feedings for 2 days when an
exploratory surgery was scheduled.
Surgery found multiple abdominal masses(tissue sample taken),
granulomatous/pus, possible mesenteric lymph nodes.
She was closed and discharged for a final day at home.

Pathology was done at U of [x].
Diagnosis is as follows:
Quote-

Malignant neoplasm- abdominal mass (ferret)
Secti0n ( tissue sample) was examined, and the tissue of origin of the
mass could not be determined.
Mass is nodular, with a large area of fibrosis separated by
interconnecting foci of necrosis
Within the area of fibrosis are mixed inflamitory cells, eosinophila
predominant.
Also p[resent are large polygonal cells with indistinctcell boorder,
foamy basophilic cytoplasm and learge round irregular nuclei with
vasiculated chromatin and prominent nucleoli. Mitosis(cell division)
occur twice per high power field.
This cell was taken to consult rounds,
The cell of origin of this neoplasm could not be discerned.
(However) all participants felt that this represents an anaplastic,
high grade neoplasm.
I feel this to be inconclusive as a diagnosis.

I will make this info available to whom wants to review at the the
symposium next week.
