I'd only given flagyl compounded with amoxicillin in ferretone to to
fuzzbutts. Doesn't make it tastes any better, the fuzzies still spit
and gag, but at least it's easier to administer.
You can also try crushing the pill between 2 spoons, leave it slightly
chunky. Then douse the crushed pill with ferretone on the spoon and
offer it to the fuzzie. He'd lap up some of the pill bits with the
'tone. Add more 'tone when needed until all the bits are lapped up.
I'd done that with other yucky pills and seems to be able to fool them
some of the time. Most pill ingredients are not readily soluble in oil
so it tastes a little less nasty when it's given this way.
