Subject: [ferrethealth] Small growth on head

My ferret has a small growth above his eye and I was hoping someone
can give me an idea of what it is. I have put 2 photos in a folder
called "Growth on head".
He has had the growth for over 6 months and it does not appear to be
itchy or cause discomfort when touched. It has not grown and he has
not shown any other symptoms.
A couple of times since I have noticed it, it has been red with a
small amount of dried blood on it. I believe this happens after he
scratches that area, although I have never seen him scratch it. We
have had a bout of fleas (even though he is on revolution) so I
believe that's why he has scratched his head.
He will be going to the vet next month, but I wanted to get some ideas
here first, in case my vet is unsure.
