Subject: [ferrethealth] Vitamin B-12

I did a search for this information and couldn't find anything, so here
goes. I have an older ferret, she's 6 and in hospice care. She has
adrenal disease and a melatonin implant. She also has a tumor on her
left kidney. She is not healthy enough for surgery. Recently, I started
her on OTC vitamin B-12. I have noticed a marked improvement in her
energy level and she seems to be eatting better also. I am currently
mixing one 500mcg tablet of B-12 with 5 cc liquid and then giving
her .5 cc of this mix. Is this too much? What amount can I safely give
her?
