In the early stages of insulinoma low blood glucose can be
intermittent as the affected cells can produce spikes of insulin.
You do not say what her glucose levels were, any time you get below
90 mg/dl (5.0 mmol) then you can suspect insulinoma as a possibility.
More glucose tests at regular intervals may be needed, 60 mg/dl (3.3
mmol) is definitive for insulinoma.

Some people use a human blood glucometer for their ferrets (some
makes need very little blood, they are available from pharmacies and
are not expensive). Get your vet to show you how to use it and do a
reading at the same time as he does to correct the reading of your
human meter for ferret blood, you can then do tests at home without
the travel to the vets office.
