wrong there are not supposed to have a high fat diet. high protein and low carb. ok I'll agree with that but definitely not a high fat diet! I don't know where this has come in but think of it this way ferrets are mammals just like us humans. do we eat high fat diets, well some of us do, but my point is valid and based on scientific fact. if animals wild or tamed eat high fat diets we, humans and animals alike, will have several problems first we metabolize that fat and it adds weight and fat to us, secondly that builds cholesterol and plaque and can shorten our lives by building cardiac stress. I will submit this that some fat content is needed for healthy fur and such but an overabundance is a real risk factor down the line, so unless you are intentionally trying to shorten the life span and creating health problems for your little ferts don't give a high fat diet. all that is needed here is a little common sense do you want a "couch potato" or a healthy, active fert.
