You can research a raw/ BARF diet on the Internet and there's also posts in
the archives:

Some people feel it's in the best interest for ferrets/ animals to have at
least some raw food to imitate their natural diet. After all we don't just
eat cooked food or a complete dry diet. Others are afraid of bacteria in
raw meat. So it is best to research it online and make up your own mind. I
personally feed raw at night and dry food during the day, never had a
problem with the raw diet, no sickness in the ferrets.
