I don't know if they'll ever be friends, but they'll certainly get on just
fine. Cats don't have much use for ferrets - don't understand how any
critter can act that way or why they aren't scared of them. I've never seen
ferrets and cats hurt each other. My advice would be to leave them alone -
the ferret at least will be very happy to have someone to play with.
