Subject: [ferrethealth] baytril - with or without food
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi all,
I've tried searching the archives and haven't found the answer (too
much comes up). My boy is being put on Baytril for two weeks, twice a
day. Does it really matter, or should it be given with / before / after
food or on an empty stomach?

It would be helpful if the moderators could put a chart in the files
that would list medications, say if the meds should be given with food
or if it doesn't matter, in what order if you have a bunch to do. We
ask some of the same questions about medications over and over again.

Thank you in advance for answering about the baytril.
Tracy

[Moderator's Note:
If someone wants to work up such a chart and the vets we run it
past say that it is accurate it really would be a great addition to the
FHL Files section. Of course, we moderators already have our hands
full so even those of us who would like to do it are less likely to have
the time than some members are. Having ferret vet texts or access
to them would help anyone who undertakes this suggestion and I'll
bet some list members know of more public resources, too. Just
remember that it can't be simply a copy from a text or another
resource without violating copyright laws. Giving URLs is not only
possible but encouraged.]
