Subject: [ferrethealth] Obsession with digging
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
My younger ferret Lola is 2yo and is obsessed with digging at all
places she isn't allowed. My older ferret does this too, but often
gives up and goes off to do something else. Lola however will persist
without any breaks for up to an hour sometimes until you let her into
wherever it is she wants to go. I do not keep anything dangerous to
ferrets in the house, but lately I am worried she will hurt herself due
to a fall. She has been climbing up to the third shelf of the linen
cupboard to go to sleep, but how will she get down?!?! I happily close
the cupboard but then she digs the tiles outside constantly until i let
her back in. If I continue to ignore her, will she remember to eat?
This is a serious question, she's not the brightest spark, and I worry
that her little brain only holds one thought at a time!!
