Katharine: Yeah, I've got the a/d-babyfood-water mixture in reserve.
When his appetite seemed to be waning, I mixed up a bit, gave him just
that for a couple of feedings and froze some in case I need it. At the
moment, though, he is eating the ground turkey and egg "glop" I make
them willingly, though less enthusiastically than he used to -- it's
just that he's not eating kibble or even archetype in between (unless,
as I said, I dip it in water and hand feed it).

So I'm looking to beef up his glop with some extra nutrients rather
than switching to that mix, which I call "sick weasel soup."

You're right, though -- for syringe feeding that mix can't be beat. No
chunks to stick in the tip.

[Moderator's Note for those whose vets have not yet trained them in
feeding sick ferrets: We mods have been asked by vets to always
let people know that syringe feeding can usually be avoided with
finger feeding usually working, but when syringe feeding must be
used be sure to learn techniques from your vet to avoid aspiration
pneumonia (which can be fatal). Nothing replaces hands on
training from a medical professional so have the vet or vet tech
teach, please.]
