Philip,
With the shorter daylight during late Fall through early Spring, you will notice a weight gain, thicker coats and sleeping increase. Mine seem to be more active during the day to make up for the longer nights. They will tolerate the cold if they have been acclimated to it. They do enjoy romps in snow but those should be kept to short exposures. They should not be exposed to sub freezing windy weather when frostbite can occur. Their inside habitat should be draft free. Inside temps between 60 and 76 degrees does very well for them.
Hope that helps answer your question.

Are ferrets subject to environmental changes. Due to season changes.
It seems that they sleep more in the colder weather. Is this normal. I
have the doors to my suite open. Does not get that cold now thou. That
is my question for now.

Peace Out,

Philip
