Meryl,

I don't believe its ever easy when euthanasia is being considered.
Do any of us not feel guilty when faced with such a decision?? I
can't direct you on whether you need to make that decision before you
leave, however, I would think your beloved fuzzy would want you to be
with her and not a sitter if it came down to it.

If it is possibly lymphoma perhaps you can talk to your vet about
getting her a chemo dose of prednisolone that might give her (and
you) some time. A chemo dose would be considerably higher than what
she's getting now. It may not make a difference but may put her into
remission, which may buy both of you some time.

Hugs,
Tressie
