Hi,

I don't know if there is such a thing as a 'cheap' clinic when it
comes to ferrets. Veterinary costs tend to run high for ferrets no
matter where you are. I am assuming your vet is not open to a
payment plan if you are looking elsewhere.

Options to consider:

- check the archives for information on when personal finances are a
concern, Sukie has posted tons of information on this in the past
- borrow the money privately from friends or family
- call all the ferret knowledgeable clinics within a couple of hours
driving distance and see if any do payment plans
- surrender him to a ferret shelter where he will receive the
treatment he requires
- contact the veterinary clinic that handles shelter animals in your
area and see if they might be amenable to making a payment
arrangement.

Whatever you decide he clearly needs to be treated one way or another.

Good luck!

Tressie
