I don't know about in IL but in KS there are vets that allow you to
apply for "CareCredit" which is a "credit card" for health care. I
heard about it while I was an insurance coordinator for a dentist and
then found out through my vet that it is also able to be used by certain
vets. You might ask around with the vets and see if any of them offer
this or something similar to it.
