Hi Anja,
I couldn't find any references for 'emantone' except for a clinical
trial looking at its side effects in humans. There does not appear to
be any reference for its use as veterinary drug unless it goes by some
other name on this continent.
Sukie's suggestion to have a biopsy done is good advice. However, what
you are describing, and I stress this may not be the same condition, my
2 year-old gib had. He had his right adrenal removed in July but his
tail looked dreadful, scabby, sore-looking and plain ugly. It wasn't
until after I started giving him oral melatonin did it clear up. First
the sores went away and then he regrew fur on his tail. He now has a
beautifully lush coat. As I said there may be something else going on
with your little one so it is best to investigate other possibilities.
I don't know if you have oral melatonin in Italy but you may wish to
look into this as well. The Italian translation is melatonina.
Tanti auguri!
Tressie
