Is there a reason that you wouldn't use Prednisolone to manage the insulinoma? If it's still early stage, then a relatively small dose 3 times daily will probably manage it well enough. The karo syrup should be reserved only for cases of emergency crashes, but if you pay close attention to her condition and adjust the Prednisolone accordingly over time, then crashes can be avoided.
